Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend started off with a bang with Jane's party. They bought a Karaoke channel for the party, and everyone had fun singing and dancing. There was also an amazing amount of food. I didn't take many pix because they always end up being of people's backs, but it was a rollicking good time.
And of course we sat around and drank beer.
We drank the last of the beers from our tasting series. We'd actually had this one before. So this description is for Glen: It was good, we liked it...
The chickens are helping us clean up row 4a, which was the last of the beans.
The whole broccoli quadrant is doing nicely.

Weather Note
Over the weekend it clouded up, and we even got a few sprinkles of rain on Sunday, 9-1. It made for some pretty sunsets.
It has been cool enough in the evenings to run the fan, but the a/c still comes on in the day and it's set to 80 degrees.

The glen looks pretty on a cloudy day.
I got row 5b planted on Monday. It's a mix of two flats because I took a bunch from flat A2 home to plant in the backyard. So it's partly the rest of A2 and partly the rest of E, with some lettuce in the middle. Fiesta first, then Thompson, then the Drunken Woman Frizzy Headed lettuce, then Apollo broccoli in the back.
