August Already?

It's mid summer, and hot. Not as hot as it is sometimes, but hot enough. Everything is ripening up nicely. This is a good representation of what we're getting.

What's great about this picture of my bathroom? There are no chicks!

 Yep, Delina helped me "take care" of the old hens, and we now have the chicks set up outside in the pen.

The pumpkins are ripening up. I have some huge ones at my house too.

These zucchs were all gigantic! It's a good color representation however.

Our carrot crop didn't turn out as well... Frankencarrot!

And we've got most of the fall crops in the ground now. There are two and a half rows of broccoli, plus this cabbage. I'll plant lots more kale from seed now that I've found out how good kale chips are.

Parties!

I'm way behind on posting, because I've been throwing parties! It's summertime, and that means party time. First there was a party for Buddy.

We let anybody in.

Laura made a lovely cake.

There was music.

Buddy likes his present.

Next weekend was Sarah's party.

With more cake!

Then the next weekend, Jane and Norman came up to visit. We made pizza and visited Sarah and Nathan's house.

So... how could I get any farming done?!?
