Cages Done

Ok first of all...it might not have been the best idea to go to the farm and drink a bunch of beer after playing croquet and drinking a bunch of beer... Not much got done on Saturday, and on Sunday, some of us were a bit hungover.

Nonetheless, we got the last of the tomato cages done. We decided that the narrow part that we were cutting off would work just fine for the side grape to climb up, so I stapled that up.

The first apricots are ripening now and we ate a couple. In a few days, a lot more should be ripe.

We also got the last of the mulch down. Here is the garden, in two shots, with everything in, mulched, irrigated, and caged.

Weather Note:
After a week of high 90s, we're having a bit of cooler weather. The forecast calls for highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 50s all this week, with even a chance of showers. It didn't rain on the fair this year, which is very unusual.
