Saturday morning we went to visit Dean's farm at his sister's place. Because every farm starts with compost, we started by admiring his many compost bins, all made of cast-off or scrounged materials.
He has quite a lush hideaway.
And the most uber tomato cages I've ever seen.
He has big permanent trellises for his beans, with wire for them to climb.
He also had big melon and pumpkin patches.
